Before you create an account

Please read these terms. You will need to accept them to register.

Version 2026-08-14

These terms cover your use of Hexux. Registering an account means you agree to them.

Who may use it

  • You must be at least 18 years old. Registration asks for your date of birth and refuses anyone younger.
  • One person per account. Do not share your password or let anyone else use your account.
  • You must confirm your email address. An account left unconfirmed is suspended after a grace period.
  • If your account has been suspended, you may not register a new one with the same email address.

Your content

  • What you post stays yours. You give us only the permission needed to store it and show it to other members.
  • You are responsible for what you post, and you must have the right to post it.
  • Anything you publish is visible to every signed-in member. Treat posts as public.

What is not allowed

  • Harassment, threats, or targeting another member.
  • Content that is illegal where you are, or that sexualises minors.
  • Impersonating another person.
  • Spam, bulk messaging, or advertising.
  • Scraping, automated collection of member data, or attempting to work out where another member is beyond what the map shows.
  • Interfering with the service, or trying to reach accounts, messages or files that are not yours.

Location sharing

  • Location sharing is off unless you turn it on, and you can turn it off at any time.
  • Your position is never published exactly. You are shown inside an area that widens until enough other people share it.
  • Do not rely on the map for safety decisions, and do not use it to find someone who has not asked to be found.
  • A beacon is shown at the precision you choose for it and lasts for the time you set. Put one up only where you are willing to be found, and take it down when you are done.
  • Do not use beacons or distances to follow, track or turn up on someone who has not invited you. Doing so will end your account.

Photos

  • Photos you put in your private album are shared in confidence with the people you let in. Passing them on, publishing them, or showing them to anyone else is a breach of these terms and will end your account.
  • Only post photos of yourself, and only photos you have the right to post. Everyone in a photo must be an adult and must have agreed to it.

Health details

  • Recording a health status is optional. Nobody may demand it of you, and treating someone badly because of what they have recorded — or have not — is harassment under these terms.
  • Someone's health status is theirs to share. Passing it on, or using it to out, shame or threaten them, will end your account.
  • Nothing here is medical advice, and a status on a profile is not a test result. Take your own precautions.

Reporting

  • You can report a post, a comment, a profile, or a message you were sent. The person reported is not told who reported them.
  • Reporting a message you were sent shares a copy of it with the administrators. Nothing else in your conversations is read.
  • Reporting in order to harass someone — mass reporting, or reporting things that are plainly fine — is itself a breach of these terms.

Suspension and removal

  • We may suspend or delete an account that breaks these terms. Where we can, we will tell you why.
  • You can delete your own account at any time from the account menu.
  • Deleting removes your posts, comments and profile. Messages you sent remain in the other person's conversation, shown as from a deleted user.

No warranty

The service is provided as it is, without guarantees. It may be unavailable, lose data, or change. Do not use it as the only place you keep something you cannot afford to lose; you can export your posts from your profile at any time.

Changes

These terms may change. The version is shown at the top of this page, and a material change means new members are asked to agree to the updated version.

Privacy

What we store about you, who can see it, and how to remove it is described separately in the privacy policy, which forms part of these terms.
